I’ll message you about the CTO stuff separately so I don’t bore anyone else reading this 🤣
I left cold turkey. Was super lucky that I could and didn’t need to work to pay our bills. The plan was to take some time off and just see what happened. What wound up happening was I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and things went sideways for a bit.
Do it! I am already pretty good. Solid routine. Lots of different type of work. But I have a small list of improvements that I need to make and .. well .. here we are!
Solid 2025 goals. Especially #4. That’s the big one for me. My youngest is also 3 (the older one is 5) and I want to be more present with them, more in the moment when I can.
So much good stuff in here. There is a definite need out there for your CTO thoughts. I can see all the computer work that comes with writing online being a barrier of entry for some. It was definitely a challenge for me.
And kudos for you for looking for ways to maximize the time you have with your children now. I left a crazy busy career when our daughter was in 6th grade…she’s a soph in hs now…and it has been amazing!
@Henny Hiemenz Thanks for the comments! My current CTO brain is pointed towards more of my professional domain (insurance) but I’m applying some of the same stuff in writing too.
Did you leave the workforce entirely or did you scale back your role/job/etc. Curious about the specifics (if you’re willing)

I also wanna double down on health in 2025 ✨️
